Wolseley Canada in Yorkwest Woodbridge is hiring a DZ Boom Truck Driver to safely deliver materials to customer sites, branches and warehouses.

Requirements include a valid Class DZ license, Boom Truck Crane Operator Certification, minimum 3 years of driving, crane experience is an asset, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Compensation ranges from $27.00 to $29.00 hourly plus 4% PSP with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class DZ license required.
• Minimum 3 years truck driving experience.
• Crane experience is an asset.
• Clean driving abstract with no recent tickets or at-fault accidents.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Transport material to and from customer sites between branches and other locations.
• Obtain necessary shipping documentation for the route.
• Load items into truck while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Consolidate items to maximize space using pump truck.
• Secure materials to prevent damage during transit.
• Deliver orders to customers’ facilities or job sites using efficient routes.
• Unload products and obtain delivery signatures.

The Opportunity

Join the Yorkwest Woodbridge location as a DZ Boom Truck Driver, responsible for safely delivering materials to customer sites, branches, and warehouses.

What you will do:

• Responsible for transporting material to and from customer sites between branches and other locations
• Obtain necessary shipping documentation related to the assigned route
• Load items and and orders into truck while adhering to a sometimes tight to delivery schedule
• Consolidate items and skids to maximize space in the truck using a pump truck to load material
• Strap and/or secures material so that there is no damage or breakage to the material during transport
• Deliver orders to customers’ facilities, construction sites other branches or warehouses using the most effective itinerary or assigned itinerary
• Unload products according to the destination’s applicable rules
• Responsible for obtaining a signature of acknowledgement of delivery

What you will bring:

• Valid Class DZ license required
• Valid Boom Truck Crane Operator Certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of truck driving experience
• Minimum 2 years crane experience an asset
• Valid Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck Certification is an asset
• Clean driver’s abstract is required )No traffic tickets, no points, and no “at-fault” accidents within the last 3 years)
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative
• Able to regularly lift up to fifty (50lbs) pounds
• Valid Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck Certification is an asset
• WHMIS and TDG certification would be an asset
• Forklift certified or ability to be certified #INDDRI

Compensation:

$27.00 to $29.00 hourly + 4% PSP Existing position : Backfill
