Qualifications

• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• 3–5 years of post-call experience in commercial litigation.
• Strong drafting, advocacy, analytical, and research skills.
• Experience with motions, discoveries, mediations, and court appearances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support commercial litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, applications, affidavits, facta, mediation briefs, and other litigation materials.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal memoranda.
• Attend examinations, mediations, motions, applications, pre-trials, and other court appearances.
• Work directly with partners, senior associates, law clerks, clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Develop litigation strategy and assist with file management, discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Maintain strong client service standards and contribute to the firm’s collegial culture.
