Job summary

Birchmount Animal Hospital in Scarborough, Ontario, is seeking a Veterinarian, DVM, to join our Associate team. You will build strong relationships with pet parents and work closely with our support team to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice in Canada with veterinary degree and full license.
Experience with soft tissue surgery and dental procedures is preferred.
Strong communication with pet parents and team-based care.

Responsibilities

Provide wellness and preventive care including vaccinations and parasite prevention.
Maintain a full schedule of mixed appointments and accommodate walk-ins.
Perform routine dental examinations and cleanings and plan follow-ups.
Support senior pets with monitoring and preventive care for chronic conditions.
Build trust with pet owners through clear communication and compassionate care.
Perform routine surgeries such as spay/neuter, laceration repair, and hernia repair.
Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols.
Collaborate with RVTs and support staff in a team-based setting.
Flexible weekday and rotating Saturday shifts.
