Dump Truck Drivers are essential in driving production on site and in the trench. They are expected to demonstrate competency to a supervisor or designated mentor in all Core Responsibilities of a Dump Truck Driver.

It is expected that they adhere to the policies outlined in Hall’s HSE and actively participate in site organization and safety.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dump trucks, truck and pony, and rock trucks to transport materials off site.
• Supervise the loading and unloading of materials.
• Verify weights, complete, and track tickets.
• Perform pre- and post-trip daily inspections and required documentation.

Qualifications

You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills:

• 2-5 years' experience driving dump trucks.
• Class 1 BC Driver license with a clean commercial and private driver’s abstract.

Technical Skills

• Experience working safely in and around construction sites.
• Ability to verify that loaded materials do not exceed weight restrictions.
• Ability to plan or adjust routes based on road regulations and changing conditions using GPS or other navigation devices.
• Adherence to all Federal, Provincial, and company regulations to maintain a safe operating vehicle and work environment.
• Unconditional reporting of any accidents, injuries, or mechanical concerns to management.
• Effective communication with dispatchers to organize routing and delivery schedules.
• Capability to tarp as required and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
