Job summary

On Side Restoration is seeking a Water Damage Technician in Hamilton to respond to emergencies, remove water, set up drying equipment, and begin the restoration process with care and urgency.

You will work as part of a team to perform demolition, monitor drying equipment, and assist in returning homes and businesses to their pre-disaster condition while prioritizing safety, clear communication, and customer empathy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years industry experience as a Water Damage Technician.
• Mechanical aptitude — you can look at something and just know how it works.
• Demolition experience — careful, mindful, and maintains good housekeeping practices.
• Detail-oriented, curious, and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic who takes initiative and gets the job done.
• Organized with a good sense of time — you’re rarely late and know where all your tools are.
• Physically fit — water damage work can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into tight spaces.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to learn applications and computer programs as required.
• Interested in cross-training in Remediation, Contents Cleaning, Emergency Response, and supporting all teams.
• Willing to wear provided PPE, including being clean-shaven for half- and full-face masks.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn — we’re prepared to teach the right candidate everything they need to succeed.
• Reliable, dependable, and consistently brings their best effort to every job.
• Friendly and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Committed to a safety-first mindset.
• Valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract.
• Able to successfully satisfy On Side’s criminal record check requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $24-$30hour
