Job summary

Direct Restoration is seeking a drywall installer to join our on-site team in the Calgary area. You will prepare surfaces, apply compounds, sand seams, and install drywall sheets for residential and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has 7 months to under 1 year of experience, can work at a physically demanding pace, and follows safety protocols. On-site work in various locations requires reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• No formal education required beyond high school.
• Experience in drywall finishing preferred.
• Must be able to follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
