Job summary

Kibbi in Delta, BC seeks an experienced drywall installer for commercial and residential projects across urban and varied sites. You will apply compound, tape joints, cut and install drywall sheets, and mount metal corner beads, following blueprints and specifications.

The role requires physical stamina, accuracy with joint compound, and teamwork. Typical hours are 30–40 per week with potential overtime; training and steady work term are provided in a youth-support program.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
• Position and secure sheets to studs or joists
• Tape over joints using a tapping machine and embed tape in compound
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

TASKS
