Job summary

Fine Drywall Ltd in Surrey, BC is seeking a drywall installer with 3–5 years of on-site experience to join our team. The role requires finishing walls with compound, tapping joints, cutting, measuring, and installing drywall sheets.

You will work on-site at a fixed location, complete tasks like installing suspended ceilings, corner beads, and securing sheets to studs, with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in hanging and finishing drywall sheets.
• Ability to measure, cut, and fit materials accurately.
• Familiarity with compounding, sanding, and tape embedding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical ceilings.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
