Job summary

Fida Construction INC is seeking a Drywall Finisher in Whitby, ON to perform on-site drywall and plaster finishing tasks. The role requires reading blueprints, applying coats of compound, sanding joints and measuring, cutting and installing drywall sheets at various locations.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of experience, a secondary school diploma, and fluent English. The position is permanent, full-time with early morning and overtime opportunities, and is based on-site in multiple sites

• English language required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
• Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster.
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets.
• Position and secure sheets to studs or joists.
• Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs if required.
