Job summary

Last Stop Moving is hiring Driver/Movers in Edmonton, AB. You’ll start on our crew and join the Driver-in-Training program to learn trucks, routes and our moving process so you can drive fast.

Requirements include experience with 5-ton or box trucks, a valid Class 5 license and clean abstract; must pass background check and drug screen; able to lift 100 lbs+; 7 AM start and Saturdays; great tips and bonuses on offer.

• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screen.
• Able to lift, push and pull 100 lbs+ repeatedly.
• Own cell phone and reliable service.
• Available for 7 AM start and most Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Complete the DIT program and move up to driving trucks.
• Safely drive moving trucks from cargo vans up to 5-tons.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections.
• Load the truck properly and secure belongings.
• Assist in moving and protecting furniture with the crew.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers throughout the day.

We are looking for Moving Crew Members that want to join a moving company that goes above and beyond in all ways. Our ideal candidate would need to be open to improvements, versatile and interested in growing into the best version of themselves they can be.

We're hiring Driver/Movers with 5-ton or box-truck experience. You'll start on our crews and go straight into our DIT (Driver-in-Training) program, where we get you comfortable with our trucks, our routes and our way of running a move, so you can get behind the wheel as one of our drivers quickly. The faster you show you've got it, the faster you drive.

Pay

• $22/hr from the day you're selected for our DIT (Driver-in-Training) program. The faster you finish, the faster you move up
• $24–$30/hr once you complete DIT, based on experience
• Plus tips (crew average $200–$250/week)
• Plus up to $15 for every 5-star review you earn

What you'll do

• Complete the DIT program and move up to driving our trucks
• Safely drive our moving trucks, from cargo vans up to 5-tons
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections
• Load the truck properly: tight, secure and protected
• Move, wrap and protect furniture and household goods alongside your crew
• Communicate with dispatch and the customer throughout the day

What you need

• Experience driving a 5-ton or box truck
• A valid Class 5 driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract
• Okay with a driving record and criminal background check, plus a drug screen
• Able to lift, push and pull 100 lbs+ repeatedly
• Your own cell phone with service
• Available for a 7 AM start and most Saturdays

Nice to have

• Air brake (Q) endorsement. This is important to us
• Professional moving or delivery experience
