Employment Type: Part-time
Term: Seasonal (contract renews every season)
Compensation: $22-30/hour

Discover Canada Tours is a leading adventure and sightseeing travel company in Western Canada, known for creating unforgettable experiences for travelers from around the world. From exploring the Rockies to discovering the best spots in Vancouver, we turn travel dreams into reality.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a driver guide, you’ll be the heart and soul of our tours, bringing Canada’s beauty and stories to life. Every day is different, filled with opportunities to:
Lead groups of diverse travelers on exciting tours through Western Canada, from the Rockies to the West Coast.
Operate a tour bus safely and efficiently, following traffic laws and company regulations.
Drive on pre-determined routes, adhering to schedules.
Share stories, fun facts, and insights into Canada’s culture, history, and landscapes.
Create a welcoming, fun, and safe environment for all travelers.
Handle logistics, manage schedules, and keep the group on track.
Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.
Build connections and lifelong memories with travelers from across the globe.
Payment Structure
Step-on guides: $20-25/hour (most tours are based on a set tour rate).
Drivers & driver guides: $22-30/hour (most tours are based on a set tour rate).
Training & training tours conducted at minimum wage.
Additional Notes
Only suitable candidates will be contacted.
All potential hires must be able to get to departure points on their own.
One of our major departure points is Canada Place in downtown Vancouver.

Requirements
Valid BC Class 4 Driver’s License (or willing to obtain before the season starts).
Training provided for the right candidates.
Ability to work weekends and some evenings.
Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) – we also work with students.
Occupational First Aid certification, including CPR-C (or willing to obtain).
Fluent in English; additional languages are a bonus.
What We’re Looking For
Great storytelling skills – you know how to keep a crowd entertained.
Excellent people skills, with the ability to connect with travelers from all walks of life.
Previous guiding experience is a plus but not required – we provide training for the right candidates.
Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
Ability to respond to changing conditions or unexpected events in a calm manner.
Knowledge of history and the geography of Western Canada and the Northwest US is an asset.
Additional entertainment skills (e.g., musical abilities) are a big asset but not required.
