Job summary

Dooley’s Trucking in Newfoundland and Labrador is seeking a reliable courier driver to operate cars, vans, and light trucks for pickup and delivery of items.

You will maintain professional customer service, relay information to dispatch, and keep accurate records of shipments and routes.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5/5F/G driver's licence for cars and light trucks.
• Experience in customer service is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced courier environment.
• Attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
• Professionalism in customer service
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Keep a record of items received and delivered
• Load and unload goods
• Sort packages for delivery
• Follow directions and read map
• Use maps and other trip planning aids
• Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
