Job summary

Wismettac Asian Foods Inc in Saint-Laurent, QC is seeking a delivery driver to support our branch operations. You will deliver products to customers, assist with warehouse tasks, and ensure accurate documentation for cash-on-delivery shipments.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, loading/unloading, and obtaining signed receipts. The role requires a Class 3 license, 1+ year driving experience, and the ability to work bilingual in English and French. Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Class 3 Driver's license with 1+ year driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read/write/speak English and/or French.
• Forklift/Electric Pallet Jack experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Wismettac products to customers and perform warehouse duties.
• Unload/load merchandise and handle 60-pound shipments at customer sites.
• Obtain receipts and COD payments; report deliveries and any vehicle issues.
• Assist in loading trucks and ensuring safe, efficient delivery routes.

The Drivers contribute to the efficient operation of the Branch Office. The drivers will deliver Wismettac products to customers and other warehouse related duties which includes but not limited to unloading, loading of products.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operating trucks or vans;
• Performing vehicle maintenance/safety inspection;
• Picking up or delivering merchandise and packages within a specific area;
• Loading or unloading merchandise weighing 60 pounds at the customer's place of business;
• Assisting in loading the trucks and arranging items for ease of delivery;
• Obtaining customers' signed receipts for goods and receiving payment for the merchandise for cash-on-delivery arrangement;
• Turning in receipts, payments, records of deliveries made, any reports on mechanical problems with their trucks, and any safety-related records, and any other duties assigned.

Job Requirements :

• Holding a Class 3 Driver's license with 1 or more years of driving experience with a clean record.
• High school diploma and/or equivalent experience.
• Ability to speak, read and write English and/or French.
• Experience in operating Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack is desired but not necessary.

Working Conditions:

• Local truck drivers frequently work 40 or more hours a week.
• Need to stay overnight in Ottawa or Quebec City once or more per week.

Must be authorized to work in the Canada for any employer.
