Job summary

Uni-Select's Bumper to Bumper brand is hiring a delivery driver in Victoria, BC. The role involves preparing orders for delivery, verifying invoices, and ensuring accurate documentation for all deliveries and returns.

You will inspect merchandise, obtain customer sign-off, and coordinate daily core pickups while maintaining safety and efficiency. The position offers comprehensive benefits, pension contributions, insurance coverage, employee discounts, and ongoing career development.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Possesses high interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships.
• Being able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery and verify invoices for accuracy.
• Examine condition of merchandise at delivery or prior to accepting delivery and obtain customer sign-off.
• Organize daily pickup of customer cores, returns and warranties without disrupting delivery.
• Record all deliveries and pickups accurately and ensure proper paperwork accompanies all cores/returns/warranties.
• Comply with electronic delivery principles and standards.
• Report any customer complaints to the Dispatcher and/or Store Manager promptly.
• Check daily vehicle fluid levels, tire condition, and vehicle cleanliness.
• Follow all traffic rules at all times and communicate delivery progress to Dispatcher/Store Manager.
• Assist with customer service activities within-store and help stock shelves when needed.

Your Daily Contribution & Impact:

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery, verify invoices to ensure that order is exact, possibly assist with picking parts for orders


• Examine the condition of the merchandise at delivery or prior to accepting delivery, examine the condition of the merchandise with the customer, and have customer sign-off on delivery


• Organize daily pick-up of customer cores, returns and warranties without disrupting delivery efficiency


• Accurately record all deliveries and pickups, ensure proper paperwork accompanies all customer cores, returns, and warranties while complying with customer service delivery strategies


• Comply with electronic delivery principals and standards


• Ensure any complaints or dissatisfaction of a customer is immediately reported to the Dispatcher and/or Store Manager


• Check daily fluid levels of the vehicle, the tire condition and ensures cleanliness inside and outside the vehicle


• Comply with all rules and regulations of the road at all times


• Check in with Dispatcher and/or Store Manager on Delivery progress/delays


• Participate in cycle count programs and annual physical inventory


• Be prepared to assist with customer service activities within store location, assist with keeping store in a neat and orderly manner including stocking of shelves
