Responsibilities

• Deliver automotive parts and accessories to customers, service technicians, and other dealerships.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of parts orders, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
• Load and unload parts from the delivery vehicle with proper handling.
• Verify delivery invoices with customers and obtain signatures.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate with the parts department and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure delivery vehicle is safe and operational.
• Assist in the parts department with stocking and organizing inventory when not delivering.
• Adhere to traffic laws and dealership driving policies for safety.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and addressing needs.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or delivery issues to the Parts Manager.

Job description

The Donnelly team is looking for a Parts Driver!

The Parts Driver is responsible for delivering automotive parts and accessories to our customers and service technicians in a timely and professional manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. This position pays $19 - $20/hour.

Job Duties:

• Deliver automotive parts and accessories to customers, service technicians, and other dealerships.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of parts orders, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
• Load and unload parts from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Verify delivery invoices with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with the parts department and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery vehicle is in safe and proper working condition.
• Assist in the parts department with stocking, organizing, and maintaining inventory when not making deliveries.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and dealership driving policies to ensure the safety of passengers, the vehicle, and the parts being transported.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs.
• Report any vehicle maintenance needs or delivery issues to the Parts Manager promptly.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Parts Manager.

Successful Candidates Possess:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a delivery driver role, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to handle and lift automotive parts and supplies.
