Job Description: Truck Driver

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a subsidiary of Johnson Controls, specializes in hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. We are expanding in the Edmonton region, with manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, and Nisku.

Shifts Offered:

• Monday to Thursday Nightshift
• Weekend Nightshift (Friday to Sunday)

The Truck Driver will be responsible for delivering products within the Edmonton area, ensuring correct loading, securing loads, recording delivery information, and maintaining vehicle safety. The role requires operating delivery vehicles safely, obeying traffic laws, and adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks for product delivery.
• Loading, securing, and unloading freight safely.
• Operating vehicles in compliance with safety regulations.
• Following company policies for delivery procedures.
• Recording delivery data, vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and issues.
• Communicating with dispatch and customers effectively.
• Performing vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Completing required paperwork and logs per regulations.
• Reporting problems or incidents promptly.
• Ensuring proper load security and material protection from elements.
• Delivering products courteously and on time.
• Assisting with departmental activities when not driving.
• Adhering to safety standards and regulations.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and a clean Driver’s Abstract.
• Experience driving 1-ton vehicles with trailers and vans.
• At least one year of commercial driving experience.
• Forklift operation skills are an asset.
• Certification for transporting dangerous goods and bonding eligibility.
• Defensive Driving certification is an asset.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
