Job summary

Pason is seeking a Drilling Optimization Engineer in Calgary to analyze client drilling data, deliver KPI insights, and support product improvements across drilling automation. You will work with Account Managers, R&D, and clients to drive continuous efficiency gains in drilling operations.

Key responsibilities include monitoring trials, creating visualizations and reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is required.
Experience with drilling mechanics and fluids is preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills to manage concurrent projects.
Ability to clearly communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
Self-starter who works well independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

Monitor product trials and analyze data to develop KPIs, visualizations, and reports.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support product development based on customer needs.
Support troubleshooting of issues related to drilling automation and KPI products.
Travel to client locations for project prep, training, and presentations (~10% outside Calgary).
Support Account Management by analyzing customer data to demonstrate product value.
