Job summary

Boart Longyear Ltd. seeks an experienced Supervisor to lead drilling operations and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards across multiple sites, including Red Lake and Timmins, Ontario.

The successful candidate will coach team members, manage work distribution, and liaise with project managers to meet drilling plans while maintaining cost efficiency and regulatory compliance. A strong safety mindset and proven leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive drilling experience.
• Common Core for First Line Underground Mine Supervisor - #770121.
• JHSC certified.
• Incident investigation certification.
• Proven leadership and coaching ability.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Strong ability to develop relationships with stakeholders of various levels.
• Good communication skills – written and oral
• Current Drivers License.
• Computer skills such as MS Office – Word, Outlook, Excel.
• First Aid/CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing coaching to develop your team.
• Address any performance or conduct issues as they arise in a timely and respectful manner.
• Co-ordinate and allocate work as required to meet drilling plans in the most cost effective/efficient way while meeting safety compliance requirements, including the co-ordination of relief team members as required.
• Complete and approve daily reports to send to contracts administrators for payroll and client invoicing requirements.
• Provide technical advice to staff to effectively manage drilling operations.
• Conduct daily shift meetings.
• Liaise with the Project Manager and/or Field Supervisor regarding the progress of the drilling program.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and assist team members with the development of thorough risk assessments and job safety analysis.
• Report all safety hazards or workplace injury/illness to the client and management immediately.
• Lead investigations of all incidents / hazard management issues that occur in the work area and on shift and ensure effective corrective actions are identified, implemented and monitored in a timely and productive manner.

We are currently looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our team. Candidates with a demonstrated history of working to strict safety and quality standards in a supervisory capacity are strongly encouraged to apply.

Hourly Wage: $54.43/hr plus up to $40/hr bonus.

Location: This position is located at one of our various sites across Canada including Red Lake and Timmins Ontario.
