Job summary

DFI Steel Piling in Grande Prairie, AB, seeks a proactive Drill Operator to support piling operations. You will operate drill rigs, pre-drill for pile installations, and travel to job sites as required.

The role requires a Class 3 Driver License with Air Endorsement and drilling experience on auger or air-drill, plus the ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and periodic checks. Flexibility for extended out-of-town assignments is essential.

Qualifications

• Class 3 Driver License with Air Endorsement.
• Relevant drilling experience on auger or air-drill.
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment and regular pre-access drug & alcohol test.
• Available to work out of town for extended periods of time.
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate production needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company 3/4 ton crew truck or 55-ton tooling truck for travel to and from work sites.
• Provide drilling service to customers in accordance with DFI procedures and customer requirements.
• Operate DFI blast-hole DM30 and Watson auger drills in a safe and professional manner.
• Conduct daily inspection of drill and attached lifting devices, and report defects.
• Care for and maintain company equipment to DFI standards.
• Maintain a legal driver’s logbook.
• Any other duties as assigned.
