Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) invites applications for an Engineer-in-Training in Mine Engineering, focusing on designing blast patterns, loading instructions, and timing. You will work within a 4x4 day shift schedule and collaborate across mine operations, engineering, survey and geology teams to optimize coal recovery and rock fragmentation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in health and safety programs and policies.
• Collaborate with mine operations, engineering, survey and geology teams to design and blast patterns.
• Generate loading instructions and determine optimal blast timing to maximize coal recovery and fragmentation.
• Design drill patterns and manage design files on drilling digital systems.
• Support on-site nitrate management initiatives.
• Support and implement standard methodologies related to drilling and blasting.
