The Salvation Army in Canada is hiring for a permanent full-time Warehouse Support role at the Vancouver Island Distribution Centre in Victoria, BC. You will manage inventory, perform put-away, picking and shipping of primarily food products, and operate forklifts and power carts as needed.
You will work with a team to maintain accurate stock levels, follow FEFO/FIFO principles, and ensure documentation is completed timely while upholding safety and company policies.

POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY: The role will be responsible for managing inventory using a computerized system, as well as moving inventory physically within the facility. The primary objective will be to maintain accurate and adequate levels of stock in the correct locations to meet daily distribution demands while minimizing excess supply. At times the Warehouse Support Worker III will also be called upon to perform standard warehouse duties like receiving, sorting, put-away, picking and shipping of primarily food products. The position requires regular use of power equipment (forklift, power cart) along with some manual work, and the use of computer systems to help supply donated goods to member agencies who help the needy in our communities.
The incumbent may perform all, some, or similar range of duties.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

This is a permanent full time position.

The target hiring range for this position is $24.47 to $30.59 with a maximum of $36.71.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
