Job summary

Toro Aluminum in Vaughan, Ontario, is seeking a Draftsperson to produce accurate shop drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT under supervision.

You will review client comments, ensure compliance with codes for window wall systems, and collaborate with the Job Captain and engineering to address revisions and updates. This role emphasizes attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience producing shop drawings and coordinating with project teams.
• 1–3+ years in window wall or façade drafting preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and time management

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate shop drawings using AutoCAD/REVIT in accordance with contract documents and company standards.
• Work on assigned projects with guidance from a Job Captain.
• Review and implement revisions and comments accurately and timely.
• Ensure drawings comply with building codes for window wall systems.
• Support engineering review and stamping by addressing comments and updating drawings.
• Participate in Bluebeam sessions and internal reviews as required.
• Assist with as-built drawings and site-condition updates.

Job description

The Draftsperson reports directly to the Drafting Supervisor and Drafting Manager at Toro Aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate shop drawings using AutoCAD/REVIT, in compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and company standards.
• Work on assigned projects with guidance and support from a Job Captain, as required.
• Review and implement architectural revisions, ASIs, SKs, and engineer/client comments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes and standards relevant to window wall systems.
• Support the engineering review and stamping process by addressing comments and updating drawings accordingly.
• Participate in Bluebeam sessions and internal reviews as required.
• Assist with as-built drawings and updates based on site conditions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit.
• Experience with window wall, 1- 3+ years of experience.
• Curtain wall, or façade systems experience considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of shop drawing production and coordination workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.

Salary Range: $50,000- $100,000 annually #INDHP
