Job summary

CCI Inc. is seeking an experienced Drafting Manager to lead its drafting services team across Canadian operations. You will oversee drafting resources, standards, QA/QC, and delivery of 2D/3D packages for trenchless, pipeline, utility, and infrastructure projects.

You will mentor staff, drive workload planning, and implement workflow improvements while collaborating with project managers, engineers, and technical specialists to ensure high quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years CAD experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, allocation, and scheduling of drafting resources across projects.
• Mentor and conduct performance reviews for drafting staff.
• Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and retention of drafting personnel.
• Improve drafting workflows, productivity, and quality.
• Evaluate new drafting, modeling, visualization, and automation tools.
• Provide technical leadership to CAD operators, technologists, engineers, and PMs.
• Coordinate with design teams for development of drawings and packages.
• Develop and enforce drafting standards, QA/QC processes.
• Oversee production, review, and revision of drawing packages and 3D models.
• Stay updated with CAD technology trends and data sources.
