Job summary

Atlantic Industries Ltd. is seeking an Engineering Technologist to lead the development and preparation of engineering drawings for bridge structures and retaining walls. You will translate designs into clear, buildable drawings and manage drafting projects from planning to on-time delivery.

The role requires collaboration with engineers, sales, and clients, plus continuous learning to improve drafting processes and stay current with industry practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Technology is required.
• Experience or coursework related to bridges, structural steel, or infrastructure is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed drawings for corrugated metal bridges and walls using CAD tools.
• Interpret designs, calculations, and specs into buildable drawings.
• Perform basic drawing checks for dimensions and quantities.
• Manage drafting projects to meet deadlines, scope, and priorities.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, engineers and team members to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with clients and suppliers to obtain missing information and support timely completion.
• Participate in drawing-package reviews and contribute to drafting standards and templates.
• Support continuous improvement of drafting quality and efficiency.
• Stay current with new drafting software features and industry practices.
• Develop project management skills under guidance from seniors.
