Job summary

North American Construction Group (NACG) is seeking Dozer Operators to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. This is your chance to work on one of the region’s largest contracts, with a combined rate of up to $59.28/hour, plus room for growth.

You’ll work at Site Kearl on a 14x14 schedule, 12-hour days and nights, with camp accommodations, flights from Edmonton or Calgary, and weekly pay. A safety‑first mindset and union membership with IUOE Local 955 are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Finish Dozer Operator on civil projects.
• Experience operating D3 to D8 sized Dozers or larger.
• Experience operating on muskeg / soft & wet ground.
• Experience building roads / corridors.
• Experience backfilling pipes/trenches.
• Experience sloping/spotting trucks.
• Mining atmosphere experience preferred (1 year).
• Must follow instructions to ensure safe equipment operation.
• Safety‑first attitude.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Operate various sizes and models of Dozers as required to complete assigned work.
• Read stakes and place a grade as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, operating standards and procedures.
• Use adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE.
• Review safe work plans/hazard assessments before job commencement and follow all requirements.
• Complete equipment/area walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments and ensure all equipment is running properly.
• Report any necessary or anticipated repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors immediately.
• Report all incidents, near misses or damage immediately.
