GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is seeking a Dozer Operator in Fort McMurray, Alberta for a full-time, long-term role on a 14 days on / 7 off rotation.

You will operate crawler dozers on stripping, spreading, road building, and reclamation work, with year-round assignments on an active mine site. Qualified candidates have a minimum of 3 years' experience on D8-class or larger machines, a valid Class 5 license, CSTS certification, and Standard First Aid.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years dozer experience on crawler machines.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation.
• CSTS-2020 or CSTS-09 and Standard First Aid, or willingness to obtain before start.
• Ability to work 14 days on, 7 off rotation on 12 hour shifts.
• Must pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
• Outdoor work in Alberta weather conditions.
• Strong safety record with site procedures compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate crawler dozers for stripping, spreading, grading and reclamation.
• Push and spread overburden to design grade.
• Build and maintain haul roads, ramps, laydown areas, and berms.
• Cut slopes and finish grade to survey stakes or GPS machine control.
• Support excavator and shovel faces and keep working areas clean and drained.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and equipment logs.
• Perform winter work including snow clearing and road maintenance.
• Communicate by radio with haul trucks, water trucks, and crews.
• Participate in toolbox talks and field level risk assessments.

The Role

GrizzlyTrek is seeking one Dozer Operator to join our valued client's team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a full-time, long-term position on a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation, with an immediate start for the right operator.
You will run crawler dozers on stripping, spreading, road building, and reclamation work in the Fort McMurray region. This is steady, year-round work with a defined rotation and a long-term project schedule, not a short-term call out.

What You'll Do

• Operate crawler dozers for stripping, spreading, grading, and reclamation work
• Push and spread overburden, muskeg, sand, and clay to design grade
• Build and maintain haul roads, ramps, laydown areas, and berms
• Cut slopes and finish grade to survey stakes or GPS machine control
• Support excavator and shovel faces and keep working areas clean and drained
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and equipment logs
• Perform winter work including snow clearing, frost stripping, and road maintenance
• Communicate by radio with haul truck, water truck, and ground crews
• Participate in toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and field level risk assessments

What You Bring

• Minimum 3 years dozer experience, D8 class or larger preferred for mine work
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation
• CSTS-2020 or CSTS-09 and Standard First Aid, or willingness to obtain before start
• Ability to work a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation on 12 hour shifts
• Ability to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test
• Comfortable working outdoors in all Alberta weather conditions
• Strong safety record and willingness to follow all site specific procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Large dozer experience on D10 or D11 class machines
• Experience with GPS or machine control grading systems
• Previous oil sands site experience north of Fort McMurray
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO) and regional site orientations already in place
• H2S Alive and Ground Disturbance Level 2
• Winter road, ice road, or frost stripping experience

Work Environment

• Active industrial and mine site environment with continuous heavy equipment traffic
• Outdoor work in extreme cold, heat, dust, and variable ground conditions
• Full personal protective equipment required at all times, including fire retardant clothing
• Site access requires pre-access testing and site specific orientation
