Job summary

KLS Earthworks Inc. in Calgary is seeking a Finish Dozer Operator to join our busy ground crew. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will operate the dozer and allied equipment safely and efficiently on diverse earthworks projects.

We value safety, reliability and teamwork; you will complete daily checks, assist the ground crew when needed, and contribute to accurate finishing and grading. Willingness to work overtime and out-of-town assignments is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience operating a dozer.
• Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50lbs.
• Willing to work out of town as required.
• Ability to work long hours with some weekends and overtime.
• Must comply with pre-employment drug & alcohol and fit testing.
• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dozer and other heavy equipment in a safe manner.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the equipment; including lubricating and cleaning.

KLS Earthworks & Environmental is hiring a Finish Dozer Operator. We are looking for a professional who is enthusiastic and safety conscious to work full-time in Calgary. Reporting to the Supervisor the operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment while working around other ground crew.

What You’ll Do

• Operate the dozer and other heavy equipment in a safe manner
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the equipment; including lubricating and cleaning
• Fine grading and finishing required
• GPS knowledge considered an asset
• Willing to assist ground crew when machine is not in use
