Job summary

Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa is seeking a part-time Doorperson/Valet to warmly welcome guests and present valet parking as the preferred hotel solution. You will deliver a luxury experience, greet guests professionally, manage keys securely, and clearly communicate rates and benefits.

Candidates must have exceptional English and French communication, a valid driver’s license, and be available weekends and evenings. Accor benefits and growth opportunities accompany the role.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome arriving guests and confidently present valet parking as the preferred hotel parking solution.
• Deliver an exceptional luxury experience throughout every guest interaction.
• Greet guests and colleagues with professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality.
• Securely label and store all vehicle keys in designated locked locations.
• Clearly communicate valet rates and exclusive guest benefits.
• Maintain a smooth, elegant arrival experience by keeping entrances clear and traffic flowing efficiently.
• Conduct a meticulous vehicle inspection and document any pre-existing damage.
• Provide knowledgeable guidance on hotel amenities, dining, events, transportation, and local attractions.
• Retrieve guest belongings and fulfill special requests promptly and discreetly.
• Respond to emergency situations in accordance with hotel safety protocols.
• Promote guest and colleague safety by promptly reporting concerns to Security and Management.
• Consistently uphold Fairmont luxury service standards and valet excellence.
• Proactively address and report operational, safety, and appearance deficiencies.
• Confidently operate all vehicle types, including manual transmissions.
• Maintain flexibility to support overnight operations when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the guest experience.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Description

Reporting to the Valet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
