Job summary

The Salvation Army Hamilton Community Services seeks a part-time Truck Driver/Warehouse Worker to handle pickups from donors, maintain a clean, organized warehouse, and assist with food distribution. Duties include safe vehicle operation, inventory handling, and customer service for donors and clients.

Applicants should have a Secondary School diploma, a valid Ontario G license, and at least one year of commercial driving experience. Flexibility for peak periods is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary School.
• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license is required.
• At least 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drive ministry vehicles (Hino CVOR etc.) and cube/panel vans safely and reliably.
• Load and unload goods; assist with receipts, movement, and distribution in the Food Bank operation.
• Maintain clean, safe warehouse and vehicle, with accurate record keeping of deliveries and pickups.
• Coordinate pickup schedules with Warehouse Supervisor and ensure professional service to customers and donors.
