Job summary

BBA in Montreal is seeking a Document Control Officer to manage project documents, maintain version control, and ensure compliance with project processes across engineering activities. You will collaborate with engineers, professionals and project managers, updating systems and supporting transmittals.

You should have a college diploma or equivalent experience, at least three years in document management, and strong English and French skills to support Canada-wide collaborations.

Qualifications

• College diploma or relevant transferable experience, ideally in document management.
• At least three years of relevant experience.
• Detailed knowledge of electronic documents, document management systems and database query methodology.
• Ability to work in a modern database environment.
• Advanced English skills for collaboration with offices in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; French skills for Québec.

Responsibilities

• Monitor document quality and ensure documents are saved correctly.
• Save client and supplier documents in firm systems.
• Ensure document control procedures are followed consistently.
• Verify consistency of document transmittals.
• Provide guidance and support to project team members.
• Distribute client documents to engineering teams and project managers per distribution lists.
• Update documents on platforms like SharePoint and BIM360.
• Scan documents and create electronic files with Adobe Acrobat.

JoinBBA and help deliver large-scale engineering projects. As a document controlofficer, you’ll play a key role in several major projects and work withpassionate, multidisciplinary teams.

You’lluse your rigour, organizational skills and attention to detail every day toensure efficient, well-structured document management. You’ll help control,file, track, update and distribute project documents while ensuring compliancewith project-specific processes, standards and requirements.

You’llwork closely with project leaders, engineers, professionals and otherstakeholders to support the flow of information and help maintain the qualityand traceability of documentation throughout project life cycles.
