Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Dock Manager to join a fast-paced warehouse team in Ajax, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all dock-related operations, ensuring efficient loading and unloading of shipments, and maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity. Responsibilities :

  • Supervise daily dock activities including shipping, receiving, staging, and load verification
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight schedules to ensure timely movement of goods
  • Monitor dock team performance and provide training and support as needed
  • Enforce all safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized dock area
  • Resolve any shipping discrepancies or issues with carriers and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for all shipments
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse, logistics, and inventory control departments

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in logistics is an asset)
  • Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, including team leadership
  • Strong understanding of shipping / receiving processes and freight handling procedures
  • Proficient with WMS and other inventory / shipping systems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Forklift certification is considered an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to operational demands
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
