Job summary

Running Room in Canada is seeking a part-time Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations and engage with customers. You will work 20–30 hours per week, help manage the store with the manager, and ensure a positive shopping experience for runners and friends in the community.

The role emphasizes enthusiasm for running, willingness to learn, and the ability to communicate in English. A flexible schedule on weekdays and weekends is required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Be a friendly and knowledgeable resource for each customer, answer their questions and recommend products.

• Share responsibility for managing the store with the manager.

• Maintain the store clean, tidy and attractive by adhering to merchandising standards.

• An experienced runner who loves the sport and the running community.
• Part-time Assistant Store Manager, 20-30 hours/week.
• Motivated to achieve good results through his enthusiasm for running, walking and fitness.
• Enjoy learning and be able to grasp new concepts and product knowledge quickly.
• Autonomous, able to complete tasks or activities with little supervision.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Available on weekdays and weekends!

The Running Room sells running shoes, apparel, accessories, nutrition, and electronics. Most importantly, we help people start running and keep running. We offer advice and encouragement to everyone who walks through the door, whether they've just started exercising or are a seasoned ultra-marathoner. Our goal is to help people find the right size or the perfect product, not to aggressively sell.
