Job summary

Agricorp is seeking a Divisional Coordinator (Program Development) to join the Program Design and Policy team in the Program Development division. The role supports policy interpretation, program delivery, and coordination with federal and provincial governments.

The successful candidate will assist with executive-level coordination, reports, and information management, contributing to a culture focused on stability, growth, and delivering value to Ontario agriculture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, public policy, agriculture or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with business processes or within a legislative and regulatory framework.
  • Experience in public sector an asset; experience in agricultural industry or government programs an asset.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to support a senior leader.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in progressive administrative roles supporting a senior leader.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the completion of monthly divisional reporting and quarterly reports for approval and input by divisional managers and Senior Director.
  • Manage assignment processes and procedures for work requests, including policy interpretation and information requests.
  • Create and develop written material and reports for approval by senior staff and management.
  • Provide backup support and act as secretariat to executive management committees and other agencies as required.
  • Maintain and manage the Senior Director’s calendar, scheduling meetings with internal staff, government officials and external partners.

Agricorp is looking for aDivisional Coordinatorto join the Program Design and Policy team in ourProgram Development division. The Program Development division is responsible for program analysis, product development and external relations with industry groups and government. The Program Design and Policy team is responsible for understanding and interpreting program policies with respect to program delivery, design and relevance. The team coordinates discussions regarding operational and policy issues with both the federal and provincial governments.

The Role

The Divisional Coordinator enables the efficient operation and effective coordination of critical divisional processes and provides executive-level coordination, administration and relationship management support to the Senior Director, Program Development. This role also provides a functional contribution to the Program Design and Policy team in the areas of program policy reviews, analysis, issues management, functional and divisional projects and the creation of approval reports and other written material.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate the completion of monthly divisional reporting and quarterly reports for approval and input by divisional managers and Senior Director, including following up with staff on assigned work, reporting variances to appropriate manager, and informing managers and the Senior Director when files are ready for review and approval
  • Use predetermined criteria to manage and maintain the assignment process and procedure of work requests, such as policy interpretation, information request and issues alerts/escalations
  • Create and develop written material and reports for approval from senior staff and the Manager, Program Design and Policy
  • Provide backup support and act as secretariat to executive management committees and other agencies as required
  • Maintain and manage the appointment calendar for the Senior Director, scheduling meetings with internal staff, government officials, external stakeholders and partners as required
  • Provide daily briefing and materials to the Senior Director for the schedule of meetings and activities and prioritize requests and issues, rescheduling to accommodate urgent issues and following up on issues as required
  • Maintain a system of information management (coordination, approval, filing and retrieval) to support the confidential and sensitive nature of information for the Senior Director’s office, in line with relevant directives, agreements and legislation
  • Monitor and identify issues that arise in key assigned processes, such as backlogs, unplanned volumes, staff variances, and refer issues to appropriate Program Development manager or Senior Director
  • Enhance organizational effectiveness through problem identification, action plan implementation and recommendations to the Manager, Program Design and Policy and Senior Director
  • Support the issues management process, provide back-up support to other teammates and lead other team initiatives or procedures as required

Salary: $66,339 - $78,045
