Job summary

We are currently seeking a District Vice-President, to join our Sales team in the Greater Toronto Area. In this role, the successful candidate is expected to develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy to increase CI’s market share within the territory; develop a territory coverage strategy and communication plan with existing and prospective advisors; and educate and develop advisor knowledge of CI investment solutions.

What You Will Do
  • Increase sales and grow CI’s market share
  • Build consultative relationships with Advisors and staff
  • Work closely with Sales Coordinators to implement territory plan, prospect and maintain existing relationships (includes providing guidance and coaching)
  • Fully adopt and effectively use CI’s CRM platform to maximize sales results in the territory
  • Master CI’s investment message
  • Represent CI at regional and national conferences
  • Consistently improve and develop product knowledge, sales skills and efficiencies
  • Effectively leverage senior management in the sales process
  • Work closely with the National Accounts and Internal Wholesalers to identify and execute on specific firm and advisor initiatives
  • Use deliberate, thoughtful scheduling and calendar management in order to maximize client time and to ensure activity corresponds to territory priorities
What You Will Bring
  • 3+ years of sales experience related to the role as an internal, hybrid, or external wholesaler
  • Established relationships within the industry is preferred
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated proficiency in general business disciplines
  • University degree
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • CFP, CIM or CFA an asset
  • Experience using Salesforce.com an asset
  • In depth investment management and general market knowledge
  • Able to make quick and appropriate decisions, while working within the regulatory framework
  • Ability to build internal partnerships and relationships in a team environment
  • Extensive travel required
  • Required to work beyond regular working hours

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $135,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a sales incentive plan program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others.
