Effective September 1, 2025, this position will be based in Chetwynd, working with the District elementary counselling team to support schools in Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge.
The successful applicant will possess a Master's Degree in Counselling and will focus on assessing and developing interventions for students' behaviors, social/emotional well-being, and self-determination. Interventions may be delivered individually, in small groups, or in classroom settings. The candidate will participate in planning and implementing behavior plans, liaising with outside agencies as needed, and supporting students in transferring skills across environments. The role also involves providing direction and support to district intervention workers.
Members of the District Learning Services team are required to attend district meetings, participate in in-service training, and travel to other communities as needed.
