Are you driven by supporting strong distribution partnerships and operational excellence and eager to contribute to the purpose of a company that aims to help its clients feel confident and secure about their future?

As a Distribution Support Specialist, you will play a key role in providing administrative, operational, and coordination support to distribution channels, including advisors and consultants, while helping improve responsiveness and the overall advisor experience.

Reporting to the Regional Distribution Vice-President, this individual will directly support the Regional Vice-President of Western Canada for both Group Insurance and Group Savings and Retirement. • Support sales and business development activities through the coordination of presentations, finalist meetings, advisor events, roadshows, sales reporting, and other distribution initiatives.
  • Partner with Account Executives and distribution leaders to enhance the advisor experience, support advisor retention efforts, and contribute to a responsive and consistent distribution support model, including communicating directly with external stakeholders when required.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement, standardization, and documentation of processes, tools, and operating practices. Track assigned work, priorities, and follow-ups, and participate in regular DMS meetings with colleagues supporting other regions to share best practices and contribute to a consistent national service approach.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is known for their strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stands out for their strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with both internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrates strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and a proactive, continuous improvement mindset.
  • Is recognized for their distribution-channel-focused mindset and commitment to delivering a high-quality support experience for advisors, consultants, and internal sales partners.
  • Has a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in group insurance, group retirement, distribution support, sales support, administration, or a related environment, along with a good understanding of group benefits and/or group savings and retirement operations.
  • Has post-secondary education in administration, business, customer service, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience working with CRM, reporting, and workflow management tools is considered an asset.
  • Is bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken, as the role involves regular communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
