Job description

  • Job category: Sales and business development

Are you passionate about the member experience and eager to contribute to the purpose of a company that aims to help its clients feel confident and secure about their future? As a Senior Education Strategist, you will help shape and advance the education strategy across Group Benefits and Retirement Solutions. You will develop proactive, scalable and outcome-focused education strategies that strengthen the member experience while supporting client retention, business development and broader business priorities.

Reporting to the National Manager of Education, you will act as a strategic Education partner to Service, Sales, Marketing, Implementation and other internal stakeholders. Bringing a consultative and strategic lens to complex client needs, business opportunities and member engagement challenges, you will help determine where Education can add the greatest value and design solutions that are effective, sustainable and aligned with business needs.

You will also play a key role in advancing strategic Education projects and initiatives from concept through implementation, measurement and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Education Member Engagement Lead, you will help evolve the overall Education offering while strengthening the Education team’s strategic and consultative capabilities through expertise sharing, training, tools and best practices.

What you’ll accomplish with us

As a Senior Education Strategist, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic Education partner to Sales, Client Relationship Managers and other internal stakeholders on complex opportunities and initiatives.

  • Lead and contribute to strategic Education projects and initiatives from solution design through implementation, measurement and continuous improvement.

  • Support select business development, finalist, retention and client opportunities where senior Education expertise provides meaningful value.

  • Partner closely with the Education Member Engagement Lead to develop and evolve education approaches, member engagement strategies and scalable solutions.

  • Leverage data, client feedback and industry trends to identify emerging needs, measure impact and recommend improvements to Education strategies and programs.

  • Improve Education processes, frameworks and ways of working to increase consistency, efficiency and scalability.

  • Train, mentor and support Educators by sharing expertise, tools and best practices to strengthen team capabilities and support consistent delivery. This role requires occasional travel within the province, with some travel across Canada.

Knowledge of either Group Insurance (GI) or Group Savings and Retirement (GSR) is welcome; having experience in both is an asset.

  • Has demonstrated experience developing strategies and leading complex projects or cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.

  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences.

  • Brings strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to connect member needs, client objectives and broader business priorities and translate data and insights into recommendations and actions.
