Job summary

Sleep Country Canada in Calgary is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily distribution activities and mentor warehouse Associates in a safety‑driven, efficient operation.

You will coordinate picking, receiving and home delivery processes, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with operations, sales and customer service to resolve issues while supporting ongoing improvement projects. A college diploma and 1–2 years leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• College diploma in a related field.
• 1–2 years of leadership/supervisor experience preferred.
• Experience in warehouse, delivery, and inventory is a definite asset.
• Knowledge of provincial transportation policies is an asset.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance to Warehouse Associates and ensure safe, efficient deliveries.
• Collect, enter, and communicate KPI data and recognition program metrics.
• Support picking, receiving, and home delivery operations.
• Coordinate with operations, sales, customer service and customers to resolve issues.
• Support delivery teams during preps, deliveries and manifest release.
• Manage routing, delivery runs, and equipment sign-out.
• Investigate distribution issues affecting inventory and reconcile.
• Step in as supervisor for afternoon/evening shifts when needed.
• Provide training and orientation for new associates.
• Contribute to various project initiatives.

Shifts:

Rotating Shifts Including Weekends (5 days x 8 hours)

• Mon-Fri 9am - 5:30 pm and Wed-Sun 12pm - 8:30pm (shifts will rotate on the first Sunday of every month)

In this role you will:

• Support the Distribution Supervisor in providing day to day guidance, work direction to Warehouse Associates ensuring that deliveries are organized and loaded in a safe and efficient manner and that delivery teams are debriefed at the end of their shifts.
• Assist in the collection, entry and communication of data in information such as KPI's, recognition program, etc...
• Understand all aspects of the picking, receiving and home delivery operations and provide assistance as required.
• Liaise and follow-up with operations, sales, customer service and customerson any issues or problems.
• Provide support to the Delivery Teams during daily preps, deliveries, and complete manifest releasing.
• Manage routing system and delivery runs, equipment sign out.
• Conduct and reconcile distribution issues that impact inventory and ensure they are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Act in a supervisory/team lead capacity in the absence of a Supervisor (i.e.., afternoon/evening shifts, vacation coverage).
• Provide training and orientation for new Associates.
• Works on various project initiatives as required.

The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:

• A college diploma in a related field.
• 1-2 years of leadership and/or supervisor experience is preferred.
• Previous experience in warehouse, delivery, and inventory (cycle counts, return to vendor process) is a definite asset.
• Knowledgeable and understanding of provincial transportation and policies is an asset (ex. log books, trip inspections, checking them over making sure they are correct and up to date, etc...).
• Must have strong communication and problem solving skills with the ability to deal with various internal/external stakeholders on issues and discrepancies (i.e.., order mix-ups, non deliveries, manifest errors).
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects or assignments as well as interacting with Management, Associates, customers and vendors
