Job summary

Bumper to Bumper Canada is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor in Calgary, AB to lead outbound DC activities and ensure KPI targets are met. You will drive safety, process discipline, and customer-first service in a fast-paced automotive aftermarket environment.

The role requires 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a distribution center, MHE operation, and strong knowledge of WMS/SAP. Join a team-focused, growth-oriented company with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher in Logistics, Business Administration or Operations.
  • 3-5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in a distribution center environment is required.
  • MHE operating experience (Reach, Order picker, forklift, end-rider, etc) is required.
  • Experience and strong abilities with warehouse management system (WMS), RF Units, ERP (SAP) and experience in implementing new processes.
  • Certification in WHMIS and Transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) preferred, and or willingness to be trained.
  • Ability to adapt and lead in a constantly changing environment and act as a change management leader.
  • Capacity to work under pressure for meeting customer needs.
  • Strong leadership skills, which include the ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational, planning and cost control skills.
  • Strong influencer and communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel;
  • Experience in wholesale distribution and/or automotive industry an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, supervise and control all warehouse activities related to the outbound DC activities to meet or exceed Distribution Center (DC) objectives. Maintain/exceed performance metrics (KPI: productivity, quality, inventory level, service level, ...) for assigned area(s).
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with governmental regulations.
  • Train new employees and be responsible for the ongoing training of existing employees to ensure quality and productivity goals are met or exceeded, including regular team meetings with employees.
  • Focus on customer needs and customer service while ensuring that all policies and procedures are met.
  • Identify, through a proactive approach, potential cost-saving, and efficiency gain opportunities to improve overall site operating metrics.
  • Communicate with team members regarding operational issues, providing effective feedback.
  • Liaise with all internal departments as required.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of employee engagement in serving customers.
  • Act as a change management leader and as a coach with employees by encouraging continuous improvement and supporting an inclusive work environment.
