Job summary

Walmart Canada in Cornwall, ON is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive freight into the distribution center. You will unload shipments, verify product and counts, assemble pallets, and move freight to departments while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, wearing steel-toed boots, and complying with health and safety policies; training and PPE are provided. Wage starts at $25.34 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly up to 10 hours per day.
• Steel-toed safety boots required on first day.
• PPE provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Unloading of freight and verifying product and count prior to receiving
• Cutting shrink wrap off of shipment skids, verifying product skid content’s, and matching label to product.
• Assembling pallets according to designated Ti/Hi and other specifications
• Transportation of freight to various departments
• Completion of paperwork accurately and as required to ensure timely completion of receiving procedures.
• Maintain associate related programs and procedures, including health and safety and housekeeping programs in order to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and company policy.
