Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy Inc. is seeking a Distribution Assistant for the Rubicon Distribution Centre in Prince Albert, SK. You will manage receiving and fulfillment of orders for medications and supplies, ensure Health Canada compliance, and support inventory control and vendor relationships.

The role requires experience with pharmacy operations, familiarity with SAGE, and the ability to handle physical tasks and make accurate records. Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

  • Preference for candidates with pharmacy experience and knowledge of SAGE (training can be provided).
  • Experience with month‑end reporting, accounts, billables & payables, and inventory control, including receiving and shipping.
  • Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Professional image, grooming, and a positive attitude with excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and co‑workers.
  • Physically capable of performing essential job duties, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Successful candidates must complete a Criminal Record Check due to the sensitive nature of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Operate within Health Canada regulations for wholesaling medications and medical devices, ensuring compliance with procurement, temperature storage, shipping, complaints, and recalls.
  • Perform physical tasks including receiving stock, warehousing, and moving items.
  • Communicate with customers placing orders via telephone and in person.
  • Order, receive, store, and secure materials necessary for ongoing operations per store policies.
  • Maintain Health Canada‑licensed warehouse per safety and regulatory standards for handling medications and medical devices.
  • Contribute to profitability through inventory control, minimizing wastage, and optimizing stock levels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the team, customers, and vendors to ensure long‑term operations viability.
  • Participate in product cataloging, vendor management, and tracking of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting, and communication with the Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator.
  • Provide support and services to Neighbourly Pharmacy locations as needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks to support the Distribution Centre Manager and Store Operator

Rubicon Distribution Centre is looking for a Distribution Assistant to join our team in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Distribution Centre Manager and manage the receiving and fulfilling of customer orders for medications and supplies for clinics and hospitals
  • Operate within Health Canada - Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate regulations for the wholesaling of medications and medical devices, ensuring compliance with product procurement, temperature storage, shipping requirements, customer complaints, and product recalls
  • Some physical tasks are involved, including receiving stock, warehousing, and moving items.
  • The role also requires regular telephone and in-person communication with customers placing orders.
  • Order, receive, store, and secure materials and supplies necessary for the department’s ongoing operations, following and executing store policies
  • Ensure the Health Canada-licensed warehouse is properly maintained, adhering to safety and regulatory standards for handling medications and medical devices
