Job summary

Duha Color Services, a Winnipeg-based manufacturer, is seeking a responsible Dispensing Technician to prepare production batches and color samples in a controlled setting. You will follow safety procedures and maintain strict documentation while supporting the color formulation process.

Key duties include accurate batching, use of paint shakers and scales, inventory management, and data entry into the iMatch system. Evening shifts are scheduled Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:15 pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Dispense Technician experience is an asset.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for color batching.

Responsibilities

• Dispense, correct, and produce color batches and samples from prescribed formulas and materials.
• Operate related processing equipment (paint shakers, drawdown tables, scales).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Fill and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Clean and maintain all equipment and work environment.
• Recall, input and save accurate color data using iMatch software.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Dispensing Technician reports directly to the Color Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for preparing production batches and wet samples for color formulations within a controlled environment. Follow all safety procedures, understand all safety equipment, and adhere to company policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately and quickly dispense, correct, and produce color batches and samples from prescribed formulas and materials.
• Use related processing equipment (paint shakers, drawdown tables, and scales).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Fill and maintain an inventory of supplies.
• Clean and maintain all equipment and work environment.
• Perform other departmental duties or tasks as required.
• Recall, input and save accurate color data using the iMatch software on a computer.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Excellent attention to detail.
• General mechanical aptitude is an asset.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Good Time Management Skills required.
• Able to work independently and as a team member.Excellent attendance history and positive work attitude are required.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or Level 12 G.E.D.
• Dispense Technician or related experience is an asset.
