Sherwin-Williams in Montreal is seeking a Production Operator - Batcher to pre-batch paint blends and stage products for blended orders. You will support the facility Blenders in spray-outs, drawdowns, and filling customer orders.

This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm at 11470 Albert-Hudon, Montreal, Quebec. Compensation is $17.82 to $23.11 per hour, with the potential to grow as you gain experience.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in Canadian French
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs on occasion

Responsibilities

  • Gather and prepare necessary materials and tools for blending
  • Blend custom paint orders and make blends of paint as directed
  • Match colors within facility color guidelines
  • Operate tinting, mixing, and industrial material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work environment clean and organized daily
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements


  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment

  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in Canadian French

  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion


Preferred Qualifications


  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience mixing or blending raw materials and making a product in an industrial batch process

  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts, etc.)

  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring gauges, dials, or other machinery indicators to ensure proper operation of machinery

  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and/or finished goods

  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment

  • Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility

  • Have prior work experience operating tinting or color matching equipment
