Job description

The role is fully remote BUT must be available to travel on regular basis (e.g. meeting with Drivers on the spot or meeting with our various partners (factory, Robert, etc.)- that’s why the person must live on the south shore of Montreal.

Overview

The Dispatcher is responsible for managing the operations of a fleet of drivers (20) and trucks (7) operating within Quebec only, as well as overseeing the operations of a 3PL carrier fleet handling deliveries across Canada. They will join an experienced dispatch team to support all operational phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assigning work orders to local drivers
• Scheduling appointments with clients
• Ensuring compliance with Law 430
• Assigning loads to 3PL carriers via a TMS (Transportation Management System)
• Managing priorities
• Coordinating equipment maintenance services
• Entering and maintaining data in various computer systems
• Participating in driver training sessions and ensuring adherence to rules and procedures
• Performing any other related tasks connected to the above activities

Minimum Qualifications

Bilingual in French and English (80% proficiency is acceptable)

5 years of experience in logistics

Owns a vehicle and is able to travel to assist drivers or attend on-site meetings
