• Coordinate and follow up on customer deliveries and supplier pick-ups per schedules.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers or customers about order status.
• Ensure efficient driving routes and assign deliveries based on location and priority.
• Schedule workforce with Store Manager and coordinate drivers to meet time targets.
• Distribute fleet vehicles, keys, fuel cards, phones, and delivery records to drivers.
• Enter delivery times into tracking system or manual sheets.
• Pick and pack orders and ensure accuracy for delivery.
• Inspect trucks daily/weekly/monthly and report issues as required.
• Schedule vehicle repairs and communicate issues to management.
• Support store cleanliness, organization, and maintenance; assist with opening/closing.

Your Daily Contribution & Impact:

• Coordinate and follow up on activities relative to customer deliveries and supplier pick-ups, according to schedules, customer service promises, needs of inside and outside sales team members.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers in transit, or with customers about the status of orders
• Ensure efficient driving routes and assign deliveries to drivers based on location and priority
• Schedule workforce in collaboration with Store Manager and coordinate the work of the drivers to reduce delay and meet time expectations
• Distribute fleet vehicles, keys, company fuel cards, phones, record keeping forms and parts deliveries to drivers
• Ensure drivers enter delivery times into delivery tracking system, if available, or onto manual sheets
• Verify returns of customers' goods before credits are completed by the sales team, if applicable
• Pick and pack orders and ensure orders are accurate and ready for delivery
• Conduct/support daily, weekly, monthly inspections of trucks and scheduled maintenance in conjunction with Store Manager and ensures reporting of any accidents as required
• Schedule vehicle repairs with local repair facilities and communicate vehicle issues to management
• Play an active role in the store’s cleanliness, organization and maintenance
• Make deliveries as required
• Dispatcher in certain locations may also be responsible for the opening and closing of the facility, providing customer service and administration duties

Expertise & Essential Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in related position
• Valid driver’s license and good record of conduct
• Excellent customer service skills
• Lifting of heavy equipment of up to 50 pounds
