Dispatch Coordinator

Permanent Full-time

The Dispatch Coordinator will provide essential support to the dispatch team by handling administrative tasks and assisting with daily operations. This role involves managing reports, coordinating communication between departments, and overseeing email communications related to dispatch operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to ensure the smooth flow of dispatch operations.

How You’ll Help

  • Generate, review, and distribute relevant reports (Salesforce) to monitor performance metrics and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Track and report on missed pickups, ensuring the dispatch team receives timely information to address issues.
  • Communicate with other departments as needed to resolve missed pickup issues.
  • Monitor and prioritize incoming emails to the dispatch team’s shared inbox.
  • Ensure prompt responses to customer queries, inquiries, and concerns.
  • Direct urgent requests and escalations to the appropriate team members or departments.
  • Serve as a liaison between dispatchers and other departments, facilitating smooth communication.
  • Monitor driver performance and report findings to the manager.
  • Identify areas for improvement and efficiencies.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of secondary education; post-secondary education in Supply Chain or Logistics Management is preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Previous transportation or operational experience is preferred; roles within transportation would be beneficial. New graduates or current students are welcome.
  • Experience with web-based programs such as Bringg and TruckMate.
  • Demonstrated customer relationship skills.
  • Able to work under deadlines in a high transactional environment.
  • Ability to champion business needs collaboratively.
  • Strong sense of urgency and calm response to demands.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to manage demands and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently; a self-starter.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with proactive solutions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Results-focused.
  • English and French language skills required.
  • Able to work with little supervision.
