Job summary

Nest Eatery on the NAIT campus in Edmonton is hiring Dishwashers/Prep to join a fun, fast-paced team. You’ll help maintain a clean, organized kitchen while gaining customer service exposure on campus.

We train and support you; no prior restaurant experience is required. Availability Monday–Friday 9am–7pm with starting wage of $17.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is not required.
• Training and support will be provided to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Keep dishes, equipment, and work areas clean and ready for use.
• Maintain a clean, organized back-of-house workspace.
• Support fast-paced kitchen operations as needed.

Description

Our Dishwashers/Prep play an important role in keeping the Nest’s back-of-house operations running smoothly. You’ll help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen by keeping dishes, equipment, and work areas clean and ready for use.

We’re looking for reliable, hardworking people who work efficiently, pay attention to detail, and take pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is not required. We’ll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

Availability

The ideal candidates have open availability Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9am – 7pm.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $17.00 per hour, but is negotiable based on experience.

Working Conditions

• Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, hot, and humid environment.
• Can stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items.

Qualifications / Required Skills / Considerations

• Previous dishwashing experience is an asset, but not required.
• Additional training that is considered an asset (not required): ProServe, ProTect, Standard First Aid, Food Safety, WHMIS.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada without requiring employer work permit sponsorship.
