Kam Wai Legacy is seeking a reliable Dishwasher & Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Vancouver. You will clean dishes and equipment, support production staff, and help maintain a safe, efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include operating sanitation systems, assisting with production tasks, and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed. We value teamwork, dependability, and mechanical aptitude in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in manufacturing, or kitchen environments is preferred.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others as needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is a plus.
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures related to manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese or Mandarin

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor cleaning equipment and sanitation areas.
• Assist kitchen and manufacturing staff with small tasks in production.
• Collaborate with both Front of House and Back of House to ensure timely cleaning of facilities and equipment.
• Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and quality checks on equipment to ensure they are maintained correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical skills to assemble components accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to meet goals and improve workflow processes.
• Support warehouse functions such as loading, unloading, and moving materials using forklifts or manual handling techniques.
• Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during production activities.
