Kitchen Part Time Mississauga, ON $17.20 - $17.75 CAD per hour

The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is one of Canada’s top private all-season golf clubs, with a diverse membership of 1,400 members and an outstanding Tier One golf course famous for its excellence. The Club has played host to numerous premier events, including six Canadian Opens.

Founded in 1906, MG&CC is a year-round private club that offers golf, curling and tennis, dining, fitness and social amenities. Our Tudor Clubhouse is a spectacular venue for casual and fine dining, banquets, weddings and various social events and functions.

Position Summary

The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is seeking a Part-time Dishwasher to join our dynamic and fun team. The Dishwasher will be responsible for performing cleaning and dishwashing duties in a busy, clean and professional kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans are cleaned effectively and efficiently using dishwashers or by hand.
2. Restock all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots/pans in the appropriate locations.
3. Perform general cleaning duties including carrying out the garbage and recyclables, sweeping and mopping floors (of the entire kitchen, including inside fridges).
4. Operate cleaning machines to company and manufacturer settings/specifications.
5. Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machines.
6. Ensure all kitchen equipment (steam tables, flat tops etc.) are properly cleaned.
7. Clean the hood and ventilation system on a regular basis.
8. Assist cooks with prep work as required.
9. Clean unseen areas at least once a month (behind and under shelves/equipment).
10. Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
11. Ensure the work area is always kept clean, neat and sanitary.
12. Complete other duties as requested.

Requirements

1. Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is an asset.
2. Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
3. Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and carry up to 50lbs and work in a hot environment.
4. Organized with a strong focus and commitment to quality.
5. Teamwork and cooperation to assist others to get the job done.
6. Must have an understanding of written and spoken English.
7. Hardworking and reliable.
8. Shift work hours – days and afternoons on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

**NOTE: MG&CC is not on a bus route. You must have reliable transportation.
