Job summary

Compass Group Canada is hiring a dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, and prep surfaces in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will ensure the dish area and equipment stay in safe, orderly condition while supporting overall food-service operations.

Role emphasizes adherence to food-safety standards with responsibilities including washing, polishing, waste handling, and assisting with supply movement.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Experience in dishwashing preferred but not required.
• Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils.
• Polish silver using machine and manual methods per procedures.
• Maintain the dish area and ensure equipment is clean and safe.
• Wash work tables, prep surfaces, and adjacent areas.
• Remove trash and manage waste containers.
• Assist in loading, unloading and transferring supplies.
